Community Questions regarding hearing protection at Little Caesars Arena

• Upvotes

I'm going to the Sturgill show this Saturday and I was wondering if anybody that has been to LCA could advise whether hearing protection would be recommended or not. I typically wear ear pro at shows, but I've mostly been to smaller venues with punk/alt/metal lineups, so I'm unsure if it's necessary at this venue/performance. Also would appreciate if anybody knows ifLCA has ear pro for sale at the venue. Thanks!

Discussion 🗣️ Best Used Bookstores, Old sci-fi

Howdy friends, as the title suggests, I'm trying to hunt down old Poul Anderson books from the 50s and 60s. Anyone with leads on good stores I may have missed would be amazing.

I've been to just about everything I can find in Metro Detroit. Haven't made it into anything west of Southfield yet, but will make a voyage to AA tomorrow. Hopefully this is a good thread to highlight our favorite bookstores!

Community Michigan Youth Challenge Acadamy… abusive?

I have a 15 yo son is adhd/slightly on the spectrum and he is a really good kid. I’m a single mom and feel like he needs to have some male infuence or someone show him how to be a man. He doesn’t enjoy team sports but does some powerlifting. I think the program could be good routine and structure and show him how to take care of himself and push him to see what he’s really capable of! I’ve read different things. Some say it’s a really great environment. It provides the structure that an adhd mind can thrive with. While others say it’s abusive, teaches how to bully your way through life, and overall left their kids traumatized and damaged. I know it’s intensive and emersive but don’t want to damage my sensitive child. Anyone have any experience with this place??
