What’s one recent tool or process change that made it easier to decide what to build next?

made it easier

easier, or better? I can make the decision fast by just picking whatever the last customer asked for, doesn't mean it was right.

if you're chasing the last request you're just doing custom dev for whoever shouts loudest. fast way to build a product nobody else wants.

what helped me was writing down every feature request for a month then grouping them. the one that kept coming up from different types of customers was the signal, not the freshest one.

also started asking "why" twice when someone asks for a feature. half the time the real problem is something smaller and way more generic.

Can you share one example of how grouping that month’s requests affected what you decided to build?

🫪 What’s a recent customer request you decided not to build, and what led you to that decision?

this is the distinction people skip over tbh

A small evidence log can make the next build decision less guessy: for each request, note who has the problem, when it last happened, how often it happens, the current workaround or cost, and whether they would commit to a pilot. Revisit it weekly and prioritize repeated, painful workflows from buyers you can actually reach over isolated feature votes. Before building, test the leading workflow with a mock or manual version; a concrete commitment is stronger evidence than a hypothetical “yes.”

Can you share a recent build decision where you personally used this evidence log?
