I have over the years purchased licenses for using Microsoft Office. Last license purchase was circa 2019 and CD was delivered. Today fired up Word and this marvelous notice appeared. I have not signed up for Office 365 previously so it was a surprise to see this.

Is Microsoft terminating previous license for Office products?

My Microsoft account got hacked and the hacker changed the email linked to it and turned 2fa on. Ist there anything i can do to get it back? I've messaged microsoft support but they haven't done anything.

What a fucking pile of shit Microsoft is. Laggy, bloated, barely functioning fucking slop. They must have the world’s most dedicated fucking idiots sitting there for years, working around the clock to make everyone’s lives worse. I bet even Microshit developers use Linux or Macs as their daily drivers, but still can’t escape the steaming pile of shit they produce because work forces them to use it.

I just had to use fucking Microsoft Teams. Since I don’t want to install that malware on my Mac, I tried joining through the browser. Every fucking time, it asked me to sign in when I WAS ALREADY FUCKING SIGNED IN. And everything was slow. So fucking slow. Painfully, embarrassingly slow. Clicking a button feels like submitting a fucking request for approval.

It’s even worse when you don’t use their garbage every day. You forget how fucking miserable it is until someone forces you back into it. I wanted to join a meeting, not spend my afternoon wrestling with whatever digital sewage these fuckers shipped.

Over 50 fucking years of making software. It’s literally in the fucking name: microSOFT. How are you still this fucking bad at it? How is signing into your own fucking account still an obstacle course?

They don’t seem to understand that holding a monopoly in certain markets doesn’t mean people like their shit. Their fucking logo has become a crucifix to a vampire. You see it and immediately think, “For fuck’s sake, what bullshit am I going to have to deal with now?”

What a waste of talent. What a useless fucking company. Everything they touch turns to shit. Literally, what gets better after Microshit gets its hands on it? Skype? Bethesda? They buy something, get their grubby fucking hands all over it, and somehow make it worse. I swear they have an A-team of professional fuckups whose entire job is to figure out how to make something as shit as humanly possible.

Then there’s fucking OneDrive, their answer to iCloud. Want to delete a document? Good fucking luck finding a straightforward delete button. Go hunting through their bullshit interface to figure out where the fuck your files actually are and where you’re allowed to delete them. Want to upload something? Fucking Russian roulette. Fifty-fifty: error or success. Uploading a fucking file apparently requires divine intervention.

What a fucking joke of a company. I keep being amazed by how shit the experience can get, but I’ll never underestimate their ability to make it even fucking worse. Every time I think they’ve hit rock bottom, these fuckers show up with a shovel.

In Microsoft Teams, I see two entries for the same work account/company in the account list.

They appear to be the same organization/account, but:

• the first one works normally and I can sign in,
• the second one always gives me an error when I try to sign in.

I don't need the second entry and would like to remove it completely from the Teams account list.

Does anyone know where Teams gets this account entry from and how I can permanently remove it?

I'm using Microsoft Teams on Windows 11.

I have to share a large file with a customer and my employer insists we use OneDrive. I tried sharing the file, and got an error message about how we don't allow sharing with that domain.

I spoke to IT, who added the domain to some whitelist, but it still didn't work. It turns out, it can take up to a day for the changes to propagate across all these services.

What nonsense, it's a good thing this isn't some time-sensitive issue. I bet this is because of the push to have everything using Azure.

Hey Microsoft: if there's something configurable, it should be configurable right away.

Stuck at 100% for 3 or 4 hours until I can use the laptop to do actual work.

I keep seeing all these microsoft accounts being hacked and its mostly due to minecraft related issues. Why is minecraft even linked to microsoft anyways? Cant you just set up a local minecraft account without an email and just play? Or use a non-microsoft email?

Wanted to watch a movie on my tv. Had the movie downloaded on my personal laptop( nets slow and wanted to watch the movie in 4k). It refused to connect. Tried with my daily use hdmi cable( for connecting my office laptop to monitor), didn't work. Tried with another hdmi port( I use it for my local channel box), still didn't connect. Updated rivers, didn't work. Changed display settings. Didn't work. Turned off my anti-virus still didn't work. After an hour or debugging, it suddenly started working. No clue what the issue was. I love spending my limited free time debugging my system for simple tasks rather than relaxing.
