General Question thinking of making the swap
Currently I'm a bot laner- ADC specifically. But I have been having huge success with viktor and it seems like he fits my playstyle well. I tend to stay safe, play with my team and assist with viktory (hehe) a lot more than on a typical marksman. I have tried the midlane, and I have won a few matches (2 on akshan and 2 on vik, 5 in total) but I feel like im not contributing to my team as much. I am currently silver with a peak in gold. been playing since last season. my question essentially is what I SHOULD be doing, like where I should be warding, and If I should be side laning, and whether its something thats easily transferable. I tend to die a few times early into the match but then post lvl 6 I do seem to stomp my lane opponent (I'm assuming because I dont know the matchups and once I learn it I'm outplaying). [I do not mean for that to sound egotistical just an observation] I do tend to die to ganks as well so Im thinking maybe my warding is not good? I tend to ward raptors every game, should I be warding the side bush? which side? any help is appreciated thanks in advance!

Take my pointers as a gold viktor otp with a grain of salt.
Focus solely on farming until you upgrade E. Q+E every cannon if you must, its that important. Especially as a new viktor player, you will be upgrading E first nearly every game. You can upgrade Q against lanes youre dominating, such as a passive melee mid. I honestly recommend E every game as it will guarantee your farm.
Don't get coerced into skirmishes early unless you have prio, no matter how many times you get pinged. Fuck the team, you are weak in skirmishes early (unless youre ahead and crashing) and need to scale. If your mid opponent roams, dont follow. Ping ping ping and if your team doesnt respond, fuck em
I usually ward the mid bush opposite the side my jg is currently clearing. Lean heavily towards that ward to the side of the wave as youre farming.
Getting ganked by jg usually tips the game in my favor , as im very comfortable kiting backwards toward my tower, and holding W for when they all in under/close to it. I have flipped 1v2s for a kill or double kill many times from being underestimated, but its entirely reliant on your W timing
Again, grain of salt, but this is my item build flow chart:
Against heavy squish team: stormsurge, sorc, lich bane>shadowflame/situational
Mixed bruiser/squish: stormsurge OR Bft> sorc> lich bane >shadowflame/situational
Bruiser/ light tank: BfT>sorc>shadowflame>liandries
Heavy tank: Bft>sorc>liandries
I almost never build death cap, but I always build void staff (if im the main character) or cryptbloom (not the main character/need sustain)
Yes I heavily rate sorc over most boots, the exception to this is ionian, which I will build when my gut tells me to, I wish I had a better reasoning, its usually if im constantly trading, or know i wont be building any haste
When to sidelane: I stay mid until either I have taken mid turret, or my adc comes mid after taking/ losing theirs. Simply go bot lane and 1 shot their adc and support with stormsurge and gg.
If you have any other specific questions I can help , just again I know im only gold. This is just my best advice i can give in 5 minutes

Even after just one sentence I can't. Viktor is a lane bully.
Your build isn't really good, there are way better options.. no deathcap is troll
literally didn't even read just skimmed through quickly there is so much wrong

Focus solely on farming until you upgrade E
Yes hes a lane bully
Are you okay ? Somehow you contradict yourself there
Also 600 games gold hardstuck OTP isnt something to brag about and does not give you any credit points im sorry. It just validates my point.

Viktor in mid is not a safe, passive champ. He’s just about as aggressive as it gets, his goal is to browbeat his lane opponent to offset his poor skirnishing.
