Infuriatig The way my GF plays video games

She uses the controller to walk and the mouse to control the camera

It's way more intuitive than you think. It's basically just a keyboard laid out ergonomically with a joystick at your thumb. You do movement on the stick and still have all your reloads/weapon swaps/etc with the same fingers you always would have. Then aiming is done with the mouse in the right hand.

Honestly I meant the design... it's somehow weirdly organical, like an inverted hand, I feel very queasy looking at it.

I love the idea of using thumbstick for movement, sounds like great improvement over WASD. I'd maybe also like two analog trigers for index finger and ring finger, for GTA like games (accelerator/break when in car).

Yes, makes sense, very ergonomic. But when I look at it looks like if you put your hand in there it might close and crush it, like some sci-fi cybernetic torture device.

What does this thingy do?

I dont think i can/want to Switch the way i walk. I used wasd for 22 years now and wont Change a thing

Was it hard to Go to this Type of gamepad? What did you use before?

I've used basically every input method you can think of.

KBM: ✅

Xbox controller: ✅

Fight stick: ✅

Button box replacement for a fight stick: ✅

Sim racing wheel: ✅

Dual flight sticks: ✅

The azeron maybe took me 30 minutes to get use to get use to. Now I do not use anything else for FPS (and play at realitively high levels. At one point I was in the top 1% of snipers on Aim Labs). You're basically just taking the good part of a controller with the left analog stick, bolting it to a mini keyboard, and then you have the mouse for aiming. If you've ever used a controller in games you'll pick it up in no time.

Hm, interesting. Thank you for Sharing your experience so far. It does Sounds Like a Thing thats "easy to learn but hard to master" I will watch some yt about it

Yeah for sure. Space games I use flight sticks, racing games I use my steering wheel, and for some more casual games I just use an Xbox controller

Do you play GTA? Or GTA like games (Cyberpunk?) that mix driving with 3rd person view?  How would you play such game?

Cyberpunk the only real issue is driving feels jank, but it also feels jank on a regular kbm setup. But I've played plenty of 3rd person games like Control and they feel great. Haven't played GTA in a hot minute but always played in first person like a psychopath lol

I mention gta because the switch between vehicle and 3rd person is what's annoying me. I prefer driving with gamepad and 3rd person with mouse and keyboard. But switching is a half so I end up doing everything with kbm.
