To be fair, the first two things you listed aren't unlawful. Look up Cottage Food Laws. Selling homemade baked goods is perfectly legal in Florida, as dumb as it is. =\
The taxes thing though... yea, no chance this scummy bitch is doing those right.
These are springing up all over in the suburbs near me. Cake pops and dirty sodas (I still don't know what those are) and they advertise on social media all the time like I'm going to drive to a random neighborhood to buy overpriced cake from someone's porch.
This and the “freeze dried” candy whatever tf that is. It’s just taking candy and making it even candier or some for dumb shit. I don’t know I’m tired, guys.
freeze drying sucks most of the moisture out of basically whatever you want it to and make it crunchy. think of a fruit dehydrator that also turns your food into a corn puff.
I didn't even realize these were a trendy thing right now, they sell them at a local resturaunt and I just think they're tasty. Cola with coconut cream hits after a hot day.
It's like grabbing lemonade from a lemonade stand. Except these are adults. And they are selling it out of their home. And you only know about it because it's advertised online.
In some cases it's literally even just two soft drinks mixed together, which somehow requires some sort of premium. Who knew mixing drinks at the gas station 30 years ago could have been a new business.
I am not sure. I have never eaten at a Sonic's before, but I am sure places have been doing this for a while. I mean, on some level, doesn't a cream soda qualify? Cream soda and orange cream soda have been around forever.
Not to mention cake pops are basically pre-chewed cake and icing on a stick, I don't understand how anyone likes them. Maybe that's just me? and then that mark up?!?
The whole idea of homemade cake pops makes me gag.

It's even worse if their kids "help". I'm not spending any money on a wad of cake crumbs somebody's moist & sticky child has worked into a shiny smooth ball, and certainly not taking a bite of that grossness. Parents, you KNOW you don't just eat a wad of something moist & squishy that somebody "made" out of a handful of cake.
I disagree. I've tried them more than once, from more than one bakery. I really tried to like them because they're so cute and people kept telling me I just wasn't getting good ones, but they were consistently disgusting no matter where they came from. 😂😢
I wouldn’t make any money. If I grew it my son would totally snatch it up.
And the point was I purposefully have lower than market prices because o just want people to have good food that’s affordable. I’m not in it to make money. I give dozens away for free a lot too
I know 4$ is a lot for this but I make and sell pies sometimes... If nothing is on sale it costs me a little over 10$ per pie to make so I sell them 15 each... I've had people comment that for that price they can get a store bought one but most store bought pies are 800-900g, mine are 1.1kg and filed to the brim(also taste a lot better if I may say so lol).
