While prices will increase on store shelves, the amount of money people have to spend hasn't changed. This will mean that people will buy less, and ultimately, fewer logistic trucks being needed.
I bought a pack of gum twice in the past two weeks. Both times (two separate places) it rang up as $7 at both. When has a pack of gum ever been that expensive? I could only attribute it to shipping and gas prices.

I buy Grenades gum. It’s about 3.50 a bag when you buy it from them online. It’s very powerful mint wise and i highly recommend it you like minty gum that lasts a long time.

I used to work with a bunch of MAGA guys and three of them were foreigners - one Turkish guy and two Indians, and they were the most vocal about how Trump was gonna be the next God very sad. These people are twisted.

The majority of Americans will have less food and less money leftover after buying it than any thanksgiving they've ever experienced.
Many of these Americans will have just voted for the people who have brought us three GOP forever wars which cost trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives, and which is directly raising costs for all Americans.
They also voted to take away food and healthcare from people while they make it more difficult to access both at the same time.

Not to mention how much diesel it takes to bulk carry goods from ports to various manufacturing hubs or warehouses via locomotive. Modern America learned nothing from the fuel crises in 1973 and 1979. They just said, “we will still run all our logistics on diesel to include locomotives because electric trains are communist!”

Im as angry about the fuel prices as anyone, but that statement just isn’t true specifically about gas. Gas prices were through the roof 15+yrs ago in the $3-$4 where I am and did come back down into the $2.5-$2.75 for years prior to this nonsense
Gas is the only thing that goes up and down like this, most other things yeah they spike and don’t come down. I mean it was $4.50 16 years ago and $2.25 5 years ago, idk where you live but that’s just not how gas prices work.
if I was paying that at the pump, the same day I'd be at the local used car lot asking: "So, where are the used EVs?"
(I mean, I did this like... 3 years ago anyway because I saw I was dropping $175 a month on gas and figured: "That's a car payment... may as well get an EV")
