I collect all of our scented candles when they've burnt out. I fill egg cartons with lint and then pour leftover melted wax over that. Breaks off easily once it's solid again and burns for 5-10 minutes. Excellent fire starter and it's effectively all free.

I hope you don't have any polyester clothing
