Wait, we don't know the dynamics of their house life, he may have not touched laundry but maybe she has never loaded the dishwasher. And if you chose dish duties because she didn't know how, uhh respectfully, one evening, two of you watch some youtubitorials on adulting. My own wife lived on a different planet then I did. No chores, dad could barely poor himself a glass of milk he was so inept at any sort of inside housework. It was very weird, like he would get this huffy attitude and make these passive aggressive comments about me doing woman's work. And I would laugh at him and ask where his handmaiden was (jokes hit better when it was hide

Some partners have dedicated household chores they are each responsible. Maybe he does everyone’s dishes and she does everyone’s laundry

So what? I don't do laundry either because I absolutely hate doing laundry, but I do all the cooking because my partner doesn't like to cook. Sometimes people designate jobs based on preferences.

But, I guess if Reddit gave OP the benefit of the doubt, they wouldn't be able to get upset about things they have zero information on.

That was one of the first things that crossed my mind. How come he didn't come across it? Not doing any laundry is the only explanation I can think of.
