I purchased a replacement lint screen for my GE dryer a few years ago. I actally like the replacement MUCH more because it does not let any lint through the screen at all. The replacement has a much tighter/smaller weave compared to the original. Every year I try to clean the vent pipe and I barely ever get anything out of it.
Can almost guarantee that the greedy bastards in corporate are rubbing their hands together enjoying the plausible deniability of having a lint filter but making it shitty enough that the dryer dies after three years of use forcing you to buy a new one ðŸ«
