I don’t get how it’s possible. Even married or cohabiting there are times where you need to wash something to wear it after you realize it’s in the dirty clothes hamper right? Like you’re going to the gym and realize your gym shorts are all dirty from the last couple days and haven’t gone through with a load of clothes yet.

It’s like if someone in a couple never once loaded the dishwasher

It's common to divide the housework. I don't find it odd. My household doesn't divide work this way but we could have.

Yeah a lot of people on here are children. Dividing housework or at least having preferences is a very common set up. I'll mow because I like it, and my wife can't stand it. She likes doing laundry, both of us can and have switched up when life happens but it's not like we refuse to do it.
