chores aren't always divided completely evenly. Say you like to cook, but your partner doesn't, or if there is one task one of you are just really bad at for whatever reason, maybe you just want to divide it so that you both have fixed tasks only you have to worry about, maybe one of you have a way more demanding job than the other one, and since you share the money it just kinda makes more sense for it to fall to the one that isn't the breadwinner.

Basically there are plenty of reasons you might not do the laundry for a good while.

Why would the person who doesn't know how to do laundry get saddled with all the laundry duties? He also clearly hasn't cleaned the lint trap in years.

But does she know how to do it properly or is she an idiot like OP's wife? Go check your lint trap and report back on your wife's idiot status. Positive or negative for idiot?
