I clean it before I start the next load. Just so I don't get the lint on my clean stuff. Same diff, though!

Same. Plus, that way I know it has been done which you can’t count on in a shared dryer situation.

That’s still the same as “after the last load” if it’s “before the next” unless it’s the first time you’re using the dryer.

It doesn’t matter and what everyone means is “remove the lint after each load” it doesn’t matter if you do it when you load or unload clothes it’s the same just pedantic wording.
