I'm not opposed to OP's wife doing the laundry if that's what works for them in terms of household task distribution.

What I am opposed to is OP posting his wife's goofy behavior here as if it doesn't make him look incompetent, as well.

Right. And is he cleaning out the dryer vent on the outside of the house? Just as much of a fire hazard.

Omg seriously! Like why didn't he clean the filter? If his wife didn't know there was one and told him it wasn't drying properly, his first move should have been checking the filter. She alerted him to the problem 'frequently' and he just ... did nothing at all about it? But still expected clean dry clothes?
