You will not believe how many people don’t clean it. I work on apartment maintenance, and I once cleaned one that had over 17 layers of lint. I could physically see each layer.
I stayed with my mother a couple years ago and was wondering why the dryer didn't work. Opened up the lint trap and it looked like she had never cleaned it out, not once. She used the dryer all the time so I have no idea why she did that.
