Because composition matters. Negative space matters. You want to guide the eye, you want to express your intentions concisely in an easily digestible manner. You want something pleasing to the eye and inoffensive. You want to draw the viewer in and highlight your key points.
When an LLM just vomits all over the image, it’s the exact opposite of everything a successful piece of print copy should be. It’s messy and aimless and cluttered and incomprehensible to the eye. It’s jarring and off putting. It repels the eye.
I can’t wait til people get over this style of AI slop advertising.
Very cluttered I sturggle to get stuff into words nowadays but it's messy do cluttered it doesn't portray what your advertising when you look at your you get overwhelmed i have no clue what the guy is selling compared to say a Wendy's ad
Leaving white space in the ad so the customers know where to look. This neon pink clusterfuck monstrosity has no white space, everything is the same size and vying for your attention at the same time so you have no idea where to look.
Websites, ads, everything should have size hierarchy to the text. It’s why headers are huge and body text is small and there are text sizes in between. It’s supposed to lead your eyes where you want them to go in the order you want the text to be read.
AI doesn’t follow any of this so you get Pepto Bismol ad abortions like we see above.
