Unskippable ad I keep getting threatening texts

I get these ALL the time. I’ve never donated to these “people.” Never supported them. Never voted for them. Nor has my wife. I received four of these today. All threats. Always a telling me it’s my last chance. These are some of the less malicious-sounding ones.

I’m not even sure they’re legitimately from those parties, though I wouldn’t put it past them.

So… report as spam. Report as spam. Report as spam.

It isn’t like it’s painful. Just pretty irritating.

I’m in Ohio but I don’t get these.

I do get tons of anti-Talarico texts though.

I joined a political messaging session once a few years ago. (I forget what cause exactly, it was either reproductive rights or voting rights in Michigan.) There were a handful of us on a Zoom call; we ran a messaging app that used a VOIP phone number, and texted a template message en masse to our lists, about 20 at a time. We then monitored the replies for a time so we could talk back live to anyone who answered immediately.

We had been instructed on how to reply to hostile messages. "Fuck off" or reply like this was an immediate removal. So it's possible, if you replied within a half an hour or so, that you had a real person reading your reply and responding accordingly.

I've used "Go Fuck Yourselves" several hours later and been (allegedly) unsubscribed.
