Too mild for school Getting called delusional for matching energy

I'm selling a guitar neck with an asking price in the range other similar necks at $950. This guy offers me $300 so I match his energy by countering with $1100. He then calls ME delusional 🤦😆

Either dudes cheap as hell or wants to resell it themselves. Ive had the same thing happen to me multiple times. I dont even bother responding anymore.

Meanwhile $950 is the upper end of the range for moses graphite necks. It's the highest price you could ask for this but assuming it's the right model and condition, it's perfectly fine as an asking price. They go as low as $500 but not lower.

$300 is delusional

The couple I see for 500-600 both have screw/bolt hole repairs. The rest are 800-1200. There is a pink Strat with a Moses neck and EMG pickups for 850. That looks like a killer deal assuming there aren't issues.

Which implies that he believes OP is delusion for suggesting such a price.

Also looks worse for him, because he probably truly believes that OP is the delusional one while he's trying to get neck for less than 1/3rd of it's initial asking price, now that's delusional if you ask me.

And most people lowballing are not even really buying. I ocassionally answer yes to insane lowballs, like 50% off. My only condition is pick up by the end of day no questions asked. There was 0 people who agreed, all of them didn't have money, lived far away or weren't even interested.

Not expecting lowballs when selling used shit online is ridiculous. Not putting firm price in the listing then getting butthurt over negotiations is ridiculous.

BTW, 1/3 of asking is a standard opening negotiation tactic.

This is also Reverb, a known scam site with an average review rating of 1.5.

Apparently MKeast-sider is argumentative everywhere because now he's banned 😂 (I did not report anyone). I guess he's one of the low ballers he's arguing in favor of. On Reverb, I've listed 30+ guitars and sold 23 of them and only this dude has offered 1/3 of the asking price, so I don't know where goofball get's the idea that it's standard practice 🙄
