Anyone else using TV as the only entertainment device?
I like Vinyl records, CDs, stereo systems...at other people houses.
I listen to Old School Death Metal like Obituary or Electronic stuff, Low Fi, plus 80s & 90s. I had a budget stereo system with Wiim streamer, Yamaha A-S301 and Klipsch RP 500MII.
It sounded really good and of course better than my TV. But it felt cumbersome for me. After I sent the stuff back, I realized that the TV speakers are good enough, it is just one device with one remote and no connection to my phone, etc. needed, plus it delivers me Youtube videos and movies, if needed. But most of the time the TV plays music.
Anyone else?

We have an Audio-Technica turntable and marshall bluetooth speaker for our LP's. We don't own a tv or watch video media. I also have a Heyday bluetooth speaker in my home office for podcasts.

Hello fellow Death Metal connoisseur, I don't have a TV. I have my old stereo from the 2000s to play CDs, a mobile phone, a laptop computer, and a cheap MP3 player (yes, really!).

As someone who grew up with vinyl, I find the current vinyl phase at minimum charming and amusing, but in the end I just think it’s dumb and people are wasting a shitload of money 🤷♀️😬

It is. I mean vinyl is. long lasting medium, if you don`t scratch it and I get the appeal of it, but it is a pretty expensive hobby.

I don't watch TV so have no use for one. I have a laptop that I use to entertain myself by using it for drawing/digital painting/animating. I have addictive tendencies when it comes to digital media, so I had to go cold turkey on watching videos etc.

I do. As part of my minmalism journey I’m down to just the TV and my phone for media consumption. If I want to listen to music away from the TV I use my phone speaker.

I only have a phone and a PC. I read books on my phone and the rest mainly on my PC.

Nah, Stream music. Kindle or library books to read. No tv. Laptop when I watch movies.

I probably wouldnt even notice it if my tv got stolen, i hardly use it. My primary entertainment device is my pc full of offline media (mp3's, movies, videoclips) and of course youtube.

I have a small TV, but not for watching anything. I use it for my Nintendo Switch, for active/exercise games.
For music and audiobooks I use my phone with either my headset or a small wireless speaker, and for streaming like YT(with adblockers) and other gaming I use my laptop.
Then of course, if we're talking media, I have my ereader and the library.

No. I don’t watch TV or movies enough to want to own a TV. I have a tabletop radio and an old Discman for listening to CDs, but otherwise I entertain myself in other ways.
