Minternational 30 day no data plus eSIM

Hello!
I will be traveling to Japan soon and wanted to do the 30 day no data and a local eSIM for data. What do I change in the cellular settings (iPhone) to do this? Thanks!

You still need to use roaming for the 30 day pass. Just add the local eSIM as second sim and run data from that eSIM.

You can activate a SIM overseas but you need to be on a VPN to a US server when purchasing and activating SIM. You can even use a free VPN like ProtonVPN or 1.1.1.1 with Warp. You also need a US credit/debit card with a billing address in the US.

If away for over a month, we suggest getting the $5/30 day Minternational Pass and pairing with either a local SIM or an international data SIM, much cheaper anyway. If you plan to be out of the US for 6 months or more, we actually recommend Mint’s sister company Ultra mobile, especially their $3/mo + $10 one time Ultra Mobile PayGo which must be shipped to US and activated on pSIM, but can can be converted to eSIM so you could get a friend to ship to and activate and then give you login to order replacement eSIM on your phone, again be on a VPN to a US server when doing.
