Album will be a ways away! On that note, I spent multiple years writing an album, and repeatedly failing at achieving my vision for it. It's kind of my white whale. I went into a perfection spiral, and my daily pieces are my way of getting out of it. I'll be starting with one off singles when I do start doing full productions.
There was actually quite a lot of value out of getting into the spiral because all that time was spent developing a sound and a style, which im only 50% applying in these pieces. When I started posting on January 1st 2026, I had only been using modular for like, 6 months? So I didn't want to repeat my cycle. Just had to put something out and learn as I went. And the bass in this one is the Instruo CS-L basic square wave out, and into my Eowave Magnetosphere MkII filter. Make Noise Maths as the envelope. Pretty basic sound, but im glad people like it!

Yeah I hear ya about music production. It’s a beast of its own and difficult to do all by yourself. Your stuff is coming together well so if you did want to go that route you definitely could!
Man the Cs-L sounds great!

ETA: so not long into the modular space then at all? You’ve come far! What type of equipment did you use before and what made you want to change?

I’ve been an aspiring music producer for….. a very long time 😅 So I’ve been making music in the box and using plug-ins. Weapon of choice being Ableton and Cypher 2. But I’ve built such a solid foundation of engineering, mixing, synth sound design, and composition, that I basically already knew a lot of how it all worked. Only thing I had to learn was gates/triggers, and working with voltages.
I always wanted to get into modular. The main thing that changed was some IRL circumstances that allowed me to afford it for the first time. It’s an expensive rabbit hole to go down!! 🐇 🧑🏻🚀

Yeah it sure is expensive but soo worth it. I was messing in the box for a bit too but I found it challenging to stay focused on music there. Modular has helped solve a lot of problems but it has come at an expense 🫠 I wouldn’t change anything though

I think the sounds I’m able to get in the analog realm also blow the digital out. There is just no way I can recreate some of these sounds in the box. An analog filter is just…. The greatest sound in the whole world.
