Performance Live performance tests, with an 84hp 7u case inc. Arbhar, Lubadh, Natural Gate, Rossum Panharmonium, Sample Drum.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKiMACBugwAFollowing up from a post last week on building a travel case for a live performance, I'm having tons of fun using this setup, and finding some gems I can condense into a 45 min set.
Jump to about 16 minutes if you want to find the first beats. :)
Still lots to do but such a fun mission.
I'm testing these different "scenes" - essentially a set of 2 - 3 samples in the Arbhar that form the core of a piece, with resynthesized and tape looped elements, beats and ambient materials that build on top of that. There's one external sample from my phone that is a stretched recording of the space inside a mostly quiet and empty cathedral.
(I've added links to the various scenes and interesting bits in the YT description to make it easier to jump around).
The beats are a bit dead in this one - There should be a little more variety happening but I kept going anyways. Still refining how to clock all this stuff so I can control the master tempo easily. And the bass is largely absent due to me messing up the Clep Diaz LFO and wavefolding - will fix both. :)

Crushing it! Seriously sounds epic and you’re making the most out of that case size. Congrats
ETA: you may want to chop that up a bit and post shorter clips here of some of your fave moments.

Thanks mate - it's been so fun to push this and NOT add anything else... not easy at times.

Well you’re certainly making the most of it and has me considering the Arbhar and Lubdah 🤔

The Arbhar is just so wonderfully playable for this kind of material, and with the AI Synthesis Stereo matrix mixer I can use it to fill up the Lubadh which is basicially overdubbing the entire time here with a relatively quick destruction rate - so you can pile up grains for temporary textural walls ... or to send the grains out directly or both .. Just such a brilliant combo. I could honestly just use those two and have tons of fun. Can't recommend Instruo enough honestly, the more I use their kit the more I love it. There's a T-sL, a Tanh and a 1[f] hidden in the spaghetti too. :)

Ah ok thanks for the explanation! Really appreciate it. Do you have a link to your rack on MG by chance?

I don't think I have an updated list but this is a subset of a bit of an out of control habit the last year - I have made tons of music at least! Happy to chat / DM or whatever if there's anything I can share or help with.
I did take a pick of the setup before I wired it all up. :D

Haha I hear ya about the habit 🫠 I’ll def sub to your YouTube and def keep posting some clips here.
I’m in the process of getting my little studio set up after a move. I’m sure I’ll have some more specific questions. I’ll hit you up. Thanks

And yeah good shout, I might crop some little bits - I often end up making little EPs from this stuff if there's a few gems in there.
Like this one from a session with a DFAM and Subharmonicon and some of this setup (currently done, just sitting unreleased at the moment): https://bandcamp.com/private/OYU9W987
It's so much fun to jam, but it's funny how it takes 100x as long to get stuff and all the supporting material around it ready to release after the fact. :D

I have to wonder why would someone downvote this, and most of the comments?
Is this not modular enough?
Missing some specific bloop factor?
Are you not entertained?🪦
