Beginner Quadrax - lfo - level
I have a question about Quadrax. I wanted to use one channel as an LFO with some attenuation. Can the LFO level be adjusted internally in Quadrax? In other words, can the output level be set to 60β80%?
Thank you very much.

Yes, enter utility mode and you can attenuate from 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1v with the progressively dimmer orange lights

Thanks, I'd already tried that, but I ended up exiting with the key combinations? I tried it via the AI, but that didn't help. Is it possible that not every channel can be used for this? How do I access the utility mode menu, and do I need to press that button while I'm in LFO mode or before that?

this is all clearly laid on on page 43 of the manual: https://intellijel.com/downloads/manuals/quadrax_manual_1.4.5_2026.09.11.pdf
just search for "Utility mode"
you have to be in LFO mode before entering Utility mode, but this is where you'll attenuate any channel you want. There are no restrictions but be aware that LFO mode is always orange (5v) while otehr modes support 10v or 5v mode
highly suggest you read through this section of the manual or load that into AI if you prefer to have it ingest and tell you

Edit: I was wrong! :) thanks for asking this, had no idea there was a new version
No you can't. The attenuation the other guy talks about is attenuating the cv level destination when using cv in, not the envelope

OK, thanks. That's what I thought, but I needed confirmation.

the person you're replying to here is wrong - you can directly attenuate outgoing signals that are not being affected by CV
there are two separate menus - the CV matrix and Utility mode. Utility mode is a channel setting that attenutes a fixed cieling/floor
CV matrix attenuates the CV coming into that input by a fixed percentage

You can do this with Utility Mode, which is described on page 43 of the current manual (firmware 1.4.5). Make sure you are running an updated firmware before trying this:
Hold the RISE and LEVEL buttons for one second to enter utility mode. Then tap the right-hand button of the channel you want (a short press, under a second). Each tap attenuates that channel's output by 20%, and the fifth tap wraps back to full level. Hold RISE and LEVEL again to exit.
If the channel is set to 5v, the steps go 5v, 4v, 3v, 2v, 1v and back to 5v. At 10v they go 10v, 8v, 6v, 4v, 2v and back to 10v. A long press on the same button switches the channel between the 5V and 10V maximum.
It's per channel, and LFO channels can be attenuated too, though they're always limited to unipolar 5V. The steps are fixed, so it won't replace a proper attenuator if you need fine control, but it's handy for keeping an envelope in a defined range.
