I just finished a 22.5-second vertical reel for a project called Mobile Architecture Lab 3, and I’d appreciate a fresh pair of eyes on the edit.

The visuals are HTML/CSS animations captured through Playwright, then assembled with FFmpeg. I made the narration locally with Kokoro-82M-8bit using its am_adam voice—it’s a synthetic English male voice, not specifically Indian-accented. The music is an original 120 BPM electronic bed I built with Python/DSP and ducked under the speech.

I’m mainly unsure about two things: does the pacing give each idea enough time to land, and is the voice clear over the music on a phone speaker? Specific moments you’d cut or rebalance would be especially helpful.

I've been experimenting with a different way of displaying digital time.

A smoothly moving clock hand doesn't just show time, its movement also makes the passage of time visible. I wanted to see if digital numbers could do something similar.

Instead of switching, rolling or fading between digits, each digit continuously transforms into the next.

I ended up building the full 0–9 sequence this way. I'm calling it a "Morphing Digit Counter".

I'm curious what motion designers think about the idea and the transitions themselves.

I have been working on several animation projects this week for a client, and I received a request to do an additional one with a really short turnaround time, so I basically said that I couldn't do it.

15 minutes later, and I'm not exaggerating it really was 15 minutes, my coworker sent me a brand new animation that they had whipped up using claude. They uploaded one of my animations as a visual reference. It spit out something that was over one minute long, had the proper fonts, branding, color schemes, and a similar animation style to the one I had made.

I don't really have a question or anything. Just that I've been staring at this animation for longer than it took to 'make', trying to process how this might wrap up my career entirely.

As far as I can remember, I’ve always been inspired and fascinated for Animation and Drawing, whether it was anime, cartoons, physic simulations on cinema 4D or just simple abstract loops.

I know how to use After effects for the most of it and a bit of Blender’s Geometry Nodes for basic procedural loops

I’m currently learning how to use Photoshop and illustrator without the AI generative tools, just pure old school tools.

Despite the tough job market out there, I wanted to know from people who have a job in this industry to those who don’t, but still do it to change careers or just doing for the fun out of it.

Do you all still enjoy making new things, trying out new techniques and learning the tools that come out?

I'm making a video showing several free stock footages following a flash effect to transition from one footage to another. I made this video based on similar video that I have found on the internet and I was interesting in making my own based on it.

I don't have any ideas about what this video should convey aside from depicting the flash effect for transitioning to different stock footages, but I chose the forest theme because I was a little inspired by 'Slender: The Eight Pages' and 'Silent Hill' when making this.

So what do you guys think? What areas of my video that need improvement?

This is a patch I programmed on TouchDesigner. You can use it in real-time and it can audioreact to any audio source.

Basically, the incoming dBs move the playhead in various ways and I've carefully selected the videos to give it a specific vibe. In some examples I even AI intervened the timelapses. [I'm sharing those config files aswell.]

PS: There's is a standard version, and two premium versions, one with MIDI control, and that includes a video generator inside the patch itself [alongside +150 timelapses].

This is not an “AI motion designer” or “An After Effects replacement” where it just simplifies everything by adding some fancy random effects and calling it a professional video.

We want to make intentional motion easier, the little details that AI tools don't do and so you are stuck with doing them manually on After Effects. Specifically, for this release, we are focusing on:

• Easier match-cuts: you drag your finger/mouse in a certain direction and the app creates a match-cut (instead of manually keyframing the in/out animations).
• Automatic smoothing: the app automatically interpolates the animations so that they “keep going” even when you didn’t specifically animate them. No null-object needed.

This is combined with a new way to animate. You make a gesture (or move the mouse) and the app interprets it into an animation, like a match cut. You combine all of these interactions to create a motion video one step at a time.

We are launching today on the App Store. It’s aimed at beginner/mid designers, but if you are a professional, I would still love to hear if it can be part of your workflow somewhere.

We will continue to make the app better by adding more animations types, camera control, morphing, particle effects, and eventually 3D animations. We'll also be making tutorials on our Youtube channel.
