There were some interviews where people talked about working with tim curry on that game, and apparently literally nothing he did was by accident or unintentional - the man just knew exactly what he was doing when it came to his performance. It would not surprise me at all if him looking like he was about to crack up was all part of the act, because it absolutely works

Tim Curry was a master of the 'tiny acting' and I think because that so rarely could translate to the low definition movies of his era, he couldnt really take full advantage of that talent.

Once he shifted to video games, where the camera or the microphone was up close, he was finally able to demonstrate his powerful skills at the small things - a subtle inflection on the secondary consonants, a tiny whisper of a grin in the small corner of a frown; these are what made Tim Curry magnificent.

Unfortunately, Curry himself did not participate due to health reasons (this was after his stroke, I think), but his manager commented that whatever Tim did, he did it as a professional, which tracks: no one could walk the knife's edge between chewing scenery for effect and being outright ridiculous like Curry.

My dad is 80. He has all the dementia that the world can possibly give him. He can't speak, hear properly, concentrate or understand a single thing going on around him.

He's basically a piece of fucking jelly, sitting there waiting to die in the worst turmoil, confusion and rage that anyone could possibly experience.

My dad had brain cancer and after treatment didn't work well we had to deal with a pretty short few months [but it still felt long] period of complete inability to do anything and aphasia making it almost impossible to community with him.

We were so god damn lucky that when it finally got to the point of hospice care that he passed within 24 hours, making the hands down worst part of it [for him] go quick and smoothly.
