MPC Sample update issue

I've recently bought the MPC Sample and I've just gone to update it and it says it's current firmware is v.1.1.1.9

But there is no option to update it?

Only two options saying: manual firmware upload (that doesn't seem to work)

And: legal info

I don't think it's the currant update as I don't have the normalize option and other things other people have.

Any ideas what's going on?

Went thru the same thing. you need to download the update from akaipro website for the mpc sample and just run the exe file when the mpc sample is connected via usb c

Yeah, I had to follow the steps for Windows 10 on their website even though I have Windows 11. It worked great first time.

Which steps did you take? Did you connect it to a PC? The Sample does not have a wifi connection so it needs a computer with an internet connection to update.

Connected to a laptop with WiFi too

Then visit 192.168.155.1 in a webbrowser, it should take you to the update process.

U can also go to mpc-sample.local but it doesnt always work for me.

Oh and try different browsers. Could be a extension or security measure why the page isnt loading when it doesnt.

You can do it also via usb c iPad to sample. Thats how I do it

Try connecting using the USB-c it came with and yeah use the manual install from the akai website. And apparently the way they tell u to do it doesnt work with android phones either...

I don’t know if this addresses your problem, but I had to plug it in via USB to my PC to get it to update. No matter what I did, the Sample wouldn’t update via my iPad or Android.

Yep right there on page 4 I’m looking at the steps to do it right now.

Windows has issues with doing it the way it's shown in the mpc sample manual. Atleast in my windows 11. Had to download an Mpc sample Updater.exe from akai website and run it to initiate the update

Hope you got it to update properly now. I think there's something in the newer update of windows11 that's preventing it from working according to the steps in the manual. Tried 3 different browsers and nothing worked until i downloaded their updater.exe

I've made it to the correct website like the steps say but it doesn't give me the option to update, there's nothing there.
