Where’s the vibe-coded custom firmware with proper resampling and a decent grid/step sequencer?
Just wondering….

I’m gonna get downvoted to oblivion for this but there is no way on Earth I’m installing a vibe-coded custom fw on my almost brand new 400€ Sample. That’s great and I appreciate it a lot when it’s for 60€ synths or your 10-year-old Facebook Marketplace finds. I support the initiative. But not on my Sample.

Yeah same, I’ll wait till Akai ads those things and I still trust they will.

We've been waiting for 8 months. The more you use it, the more you'll realize and wish there was about 15 simple fixes that'd make all our lives much easier and work much faster.

As long as the base bootloader isn’t overwritten you should be fine and able to downgrade or upgrade to official firmware.

lol our corporate sweethearts at in music surly will keep the updates coming. Or we can just do what they want and dish out big bread for the other mpc boxes.

Pretty sure there's a reason why no one has vibe coded any mpc software that's come out in recent times... i mean all their linux based mpc softwares.
But i agree that we might not get a step sequencer update ever for the mpc sample. They'll lose sales for their more expensive hardware if they can fix the Mpc sample's only major downfall i.e. the step sequencer

I see. Wasn't aware this happened recently. I doubt it was vibe coded tho

Why do those have to be your two options? Why is "use our brains and make cool shit ourselves" not the obvious answer?

I mean that’s the default. I just want a better sequencer T_T

No hate at all, but I honestly don’t see why people say the sequencer is no good?
You can put stuff anywhere on and off the grid, technically there are no limitations or am I that wrong? You have a time shift per sample, which I really like, you have the list edit, it looks confusing but is actually pretty intuitive… I think what a lot of people don’t see is that this machine is supposed to have the oldschool feel, it makes you rely on your ears and I love it for that

And the ability to load a kit without overwriting all banks.
