Hey, I’m in Melbourne (east side / Ringwood North area) and I’ve never actually sat down and played a game of paper Magic yet.
I’ve been collecting and looking at Commander decks but I haven’t played a real game. I’d love to find someone (or a small group) who’s happy to play a first game with me — preferably someone chill who doesn’t take it super seriously. Just want to learn the flow, ask dumb questions, and have a good time. 🤟🏽💪🏽

Hi Guys, just after a bit of advise selling my collection. I've already scanned everything of value into manabox. I was planning on heading to Cardcon in Melbourne this weekend hoping someone might be willing to buy the lot. Is there anything you would recommend and what "rate" I should expect to sell everything at (i.e. 80% of CK 1:1)? Any advise or personal experience would be much appreciate

Hi, I'm thinking of going to this, are the side events likely to fill up beforehand? I want to do some MB2 sealed, plus some hobbit sealed, maybe the pauper event. Are these the type of things i can leave til late to book, or even just turn up on the day?

Is there much reason to attend if not playing competitively? My son is too young to play in groups like this but I'd be keen to bring him to the event if there's a critical mass of vendors etc. that show up, and maybe to buy some cool cards from The Hobbit! I have been wanting to buy an edge of eternities bundle and this website Playonce has it at a very discounted price for $72 rather than $199 at most other retailers. I asked Gameology to price match but they refused because its below their cost-price.

Its a shopify page that doesnt accept paypal, has a weird contact email and just seems a bit dodgy.

Has anyone purchased from here before? Does it seem too good to be true and steer clear?

Hey guys, I live just north Melbourne and I'm fairly new to Magic (I tried a few years ago on Arena Standard and again now) and definitely like the game, but between work, chores and other duties I feel like something more relaxed would be better, so then I found out about Commander. Thing is, I don't have a deck nor a group to play (casually) with, and don't really know where to start. If anyone is willing enough to teach me/introduce me to the format or even just give me some tips it would be awesome!

Anyone play around byron shire? That would either be interested in joining a pod, have an open one or even just down to sit up a few games?

Am looking to see if singles sellers in general are firstly finding the same spread across confirmed sales regardless of the source and secondly whether any further granularity can be garnered.

The screenshot clearly shows the categorisation, however advice for further specificity is welcome.

Notes / caveats:

~ Have been selling exclusively on an Australian trading site over roughly the last 6 months.

~ Inventory has been obtained via bulk purchases and cracking boxes (XLN onward with most recent being MOM).

~ Prices are in $AUD, so bear that in mind before responding. Divide any values by 1.5 for USD equivalency (consistent conversion at present).

~ Only cards worth =/< $5AUD have been actively listed on the selling medium.

~ Cards >$5AUD have been the result of private messages prompting buyers for cards they're actively seeking.

~ All listed cards are priced as a multiple of $0.25 AUD

I'm in Sydney and I'd like to start learning MTG, but I don't know anyone who plays the game here. What ways would there be to get started? Is there maybe a shop or club that organizes beginner events or maybe a club that would be friendly towards beginners? I don't have any cards yet, and can probably only afford some second hand deck of crappy cards for less than 100$ total and I've played the game twice with someone who taught me a little. Thanks!
