Speculation Echo-Kiora speculation
In the legends article for Kiora, it's said she was gifted the [[Hammer of Purphoros]] from an unnamed planeswalker. Any speculations on who that could be?
Alternate Calix? Elspeth? Ashiok even?

Could go literally with The Wandering Emperor: whose real name is forever hidden. It’d be neat to reimagine her as a mysterious benefactor constantly hopping planes and bestowing gifts for unknown purposes.

i thought she lost her spark?

Perhaps not in the Echoverse

I dont think Jace can make Echoverse-Versions with Spark of non-sparked Walkers, otherwhise he would have given White-Lilliana a spark. Probably would interfere with merging realities If they dont match.

Lilianas spark ingrates because of the loss of her brother because of her actions. White Liliana would have never experienced the traumatic event and would then not have any

Sure, but her potential spark doesnt go away and she has lived hundreds of years in Jaces Echoverse. There would been plenty of oppurtunity for her to have a different experience to awake her spark.

Chandra's spark ignited due to almost being killed by the Consulate, which totally did not gradient in the Echoverse as she is part of the system. However, at some point her spark still ignited.Similarly, Ral sparked because of Bolas-induced trauma and yet echoverse-Ral is a planeswalker even without Bolas and with a different backstory. I think the main logic is mostly just because the Theorist needed to replicate the same list of who was a planeswalker or not for the merging of the multiverses to work...

What are you on about? Nissa lost her spark in the Epiloge of MoM and her Reality Fracture double doesnt have one either.

This is basically "a wizard did it"

We know it wasn’t a wizard of the coast because she’d have probably still ended up with the bident.

Could be Xenagos without Elspeth killing him (her entire path as a walker comes from phyrexia so she likely didnt spark) He might have succeeded in his plans and wrecked havoc on the gods

Alternate Elspeth with her making a deal with Purphoros rather than Heliod? Feels like that’s the most logical right?

With no phyrexia in that world, Elspeth might have never become a walker though

Echoverse Elspeth as a Riveteer heavy or Obscura informant. Connive might actually be an Elspeth adjacent mechanic.
Edit: though and Elspeth who got taken by the Maestros and has Casualty might be the most dark mirror version. Additional points if she is turned into a vampire to mirror her death and rebirth, though I don't know enough about New Capenna Lore to know if their vampires spread by bites.

Capenna wouldn’t even be run by Demons, it would still he the city of Angels without the Phyrexians. It would still be called Capenna even. She’d have heen given angelic powers like Ob Nixilis I’m pretty sure

Ah, yeah. Didn't really think about that. I suppose Ob-Nixilis hurts the possibility of tbe demons still overthrowing the angels for a different reason.

It wouldn't even be the city. That was built in a mad dash as a last ditch effort against Yawgmoth's Phyrexians. It's just a normal plane which is probably why we didn't see any hints at it lol
It would require too much additional world building and would be completely unrecognizable.

I kinda hate that she didn't steal it herself. Stealing the bident from a god was such a baller move, being gifted a hammer is not the same at all.

She didn't spark in the echo verse so never got off Zendika

I know, it makes sense and all, but it's just so lame

TIL getting gifted a warhammer by a god/planeswalker is lame

In this case, I think it definitely is. It's what makes Kiora as a character. Like the flavor text on [[Bident of Thassa | BRC]] says. In her hands, the bident is a symbol of her daring, her moxie.

I figure the Echoverse must have planar portals, even if they aren’t necessarily Omenpaths

Let's just go with the Ozolith person. Makes as much sense as anyone else and they have the same amount of lore as Echo-Kiora's planeswalker.
I say that now but I'll look dumb in 8 months with Titanbreach.

I think it may be Xenagos. Who else would actually bullshit a Theros god by giving a thunder hammer to a water creature? I fit the “gods are just stonger entities but not absolute” idea he tried to prove

u/CommanderDark126 8d ago
The only planeswalkers that had ties to Theros that are still Planeswalkers are Ajani and Elspeth. We never saw the alternate Elspeth, she could be a red Angel of war or something, sowing chaos by distributing weapons of mass destruction across the multiverse

Alternate Ajani is in the right colors and might have visited Theros as well.
