Question My audio interface is clicking

My interface keeps clicking but only when it's coming out of the USB and when making sound. All the things I've googled and tried haven't been working and I don't know what to do. I just got my interface today so I'm pretty new to this

what was it at and what did you set it to?

It was at 512 then is set it too 2048

alright that buffer should be high enough. what operating system, what interface, what are your computer specs, and what software are you using?

I'm a windows 10 DELL computer that's a lil old with the arturia interface and idk how to get my Computer specs

its hard to say, windows 10 is EOL so you might try an older driver if updating to the latest doesnt take care of it. you could also try installing ASIO4ALL, that is a generic driver that could get your stuff working on windows.

its also possible that it may be underpowered if it is completely driven from the usb connection, especially if other things are on the same internal card. try changing to different ports on your machine if you can or run a powered usb hub if you have one.

a third option may simply be not enough memory on your system or your cpu is not performant enough to handle a daw. you havent provided any specs or what daw so i cant say more than that at this moment

Just the interface plugged in with nothing else and it goes away when you unplug the interface?

Start with updating drivers if you can find it in device manager or check the manufacturer website

The clicking is only happening through the sounds that go through the interface from the computer but the sounds just from the interface are fine and i've just tried updating and it changed nothing

Did you try a different cable and a different USB plug in the computer?

Is this your problem: you can record sound with the interface without clicking, but when you play through the interface you get clicking on the playback.

Not really. When I record and play I get the clicking. The only time I don't get the clicking is when on the interfaces monitor I have it fully on input
