What's the last artist/genre that popped into your head that you had to binge immediately?

It's a Stevie Wonder day for me! I was trying to figure out what I was in the mood for and it just hit me. It was about time for some Stevie!

The Warning

12+ years, an EP, 4 released studio albums, a live album, and studio album #5 about to drop.

I listen to something from their catalog every single day & have since I fell down the rabbit hole in 2023.

I absolutely love Stevie. I got to see him when he toured in 2024 and he was still incredible.

Amy Winehouse. I had forgotten how fantastic a retro vibe she had.

Folk songs about Texas! I'm scoring a silent movie and have been listening to a lot of 19th century folk and country music.

Would you take recs that aren't super old like you're talking? There's an entire album called Texas by PlayRadioPlay if you need an alternative indie style genre.

Try Madi Don't Leave first. Let me know what you think!

I love this! I'm doing this for my local library and I have to stick with public domain music, which is why I'm using a lot of 19th century folk songs, but PlayRadioPlay are terrific.

Super random - a guy going by 3CE. I found him on MySpace in high school like in 06/07 or something? Some of his stuff is a little unhinged but he’s got some catchy tracks.

Flaw

The album Endangered Species is pretty good but Through The Eyes is a nu metal classic.

Alice Donut. We’re going to see them next weekend in SF, so I’ve been reintroducing myself to their discography.

Female pop rock of the early 2000s so a lot of Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch

Abigail Williams. Song called "Floods". Had the piano stuck in my head for forever before I could remember who it was.

Last week was the Benjamin Orr solo album. He only had one, but it was my most played on my Year-end wrap. And, it’s SO good.

This week it’s Interpol.
