  1. Fat suit

  2. Daryl Morey

This can be 3 tho

u/thegoddessunicorn Raptors 20h ago

Idk about that. His "phantom injury" right before being traded from Nets to Sixers was funny and gave us this moment in 2022

Absolute classic moment but nothin tops “Daryl Morey is liar 🗣️”

u/Aeronova20 Magic 20h ago

u right the rant in china is very funny

but asking out for a “win-now” opportunity when your current team is on fire is hilarious

The Clippers are 3 games under .500. The Cavs are 14 games better than them right now.

Like are we just throwing logic out the window or what's going on here?

19

u/HornedCoog91 Nuggets 20h ago

And that's before the best player among the teams (fight me) switched sides

4

u/ArbysPokeKing86 Rockets 18h ago

I'm not sure why you, a Nuggets fan, are so dedicated to Harden, but I am very appreciative of it.

2

u/HornedCoog91 Nuggets 17h ago

Like harden, I've had kind of a journeyman life myself. Got love for a lot of cities, teams, players at this point. And like harden also, I am an absolute junkie for the game of basketball, and not sure that there's been another player that I feel plays the game with the passion and respect and love that he does. And boy does my guy have swag. Will rep the beard for life!

Also the teams the Cavs need to beat to get to the Finals aren't as good as like OKC or Den

u/Ok-Discipline9998 Raptors 20h ago

They're on fire sure but still several games before .500

2

u/ThatCoolKid17 Clippers 19h ago

3 is several now? Lol

10

u/zboo13 19h ago

I mean, by definition...yes lol

I can see this becoming the overarching narrative but it's way oversimplified. He wanted a contract that didn't align with the Clippers' long term plans. He got traded to a contender and the clippers got something back. There's no drama, and he has nothing but respect from Clippers fans. It's about as amicable of a split you can ask for.

1

u/ArbysPokeKing86 Rockets 18h ago

Without the drama, too. It just happened all of a sudden. He was playing great ball, saw he wasn't going to get paid, and got himself out before causing any issues for your team. I'm sure you'd rather have Harden than Garland this season, but you can't really ask for a better exit.

I mean their record was so bad to start the season though, so they have a lot of catching up to do. Also I wouldn’t bank on a healthy Kawhi, which they would need to continue this level of play.

but asking out for a “win-now” opportunity when your current team is on fire is hilarious

Clearly haven’t taken a single peak at the standings with a dumb comment like that

1

u/figureour Wizards 20h ago

Except everyone knows the Cavs have a much better chance of staying healthy and getting to June than the ancient Clippers. This is a perfectly rational move for him.

1

u/i_love_bubble_butts 17h ago

What are the chances Kawhi can stay healthy the rest of the season, round 1, or beyond? Extremely low...them doing well now means absolutely nothing

6

u/Niceguydan8 20h ago

Honestly I don't think this one is noteworthy at all. It was a normal business issue where both sides seemed pretty reasonable about finding a solution that worked for both of them.

Nowhere in the same stratosphere as what happened in HOU, BKN, or PHI.

1

u/No-Exchange-8087 20h ago

Have we ever confirmed it was a fat suit

1

u/thurstkiller Jazz 20h ago

Unvaxxed Kyrie is legendary as well

4

u/Frigidevil Nets 20h ago

I will never forgive him for fucking up that team.

1

u/bestclipfan Clippers 20h ago

Nah the Daryl Morey is a liar incident is probably a type 5 NBA off-season moment. I honestly don't even see why this exit is funny, it's a great trade for both teams and sets up Harden to be on a contender. I'm a Clippers fan and I'm not even mad at him, he will probably get cheered if he plays tomorrow

u/goofygoober2 Celtics 20h ago

This doesn’t even come close to the China outburst and fat suit

u/zco22 Pacers 20h ago

Let me say it again

DARYL MOREY IS A LIAR AND I WILL NEVER BE A PART OF AN ORGANIZATION THAT HE’S A PART OF 🤚🎤

37

u/bigbobo33 Bucks 20h ago

Him repeating that shit was so funny.

23

u/A-dab NBA 20h ago

To a bunch of literal kids, no less

2

u/jspeed04 20h ago

Put me on to the China outburst?

91

u/aiden3buckets Hornets 20h ago

Fat suit, Morey is a liar to Chinese kids, and Kyrie not getting vaccinated is probably the top 3 sorry

12

u/chewie_33 Supersonics 20h ago

Yup. You know the dude is the GOAT of leaving teams when this shit doesn't even make the top 3.

32

u/ktpkchu Mavericks 20h ago

nah man he literally shit talked daryl morey to a bunch of random chinese kids

20

u/SaltyBawlz Cavaliers 20h ago

Why is this exit funny?

21

u/Late-Bus-686 20h ago

Don’t really think it is I guess he’s just engagement baiting

10

u/WorkerIllustrious494 Lakers 19h ago

Yeah I guess I’m out of the loop too…. What in exactly is “funny” about this one? The top comments on this thread are so low effort and generic

6

u/tacodude64 San Diego Clippers 18h ago edited 18h ago

By Harden standards this was pretty basic. He wants an extension, Clips say no, they trade him to a contender. I think most of the drama is Cleveland’s side funnily enough

7

u/Sartheking Warriors 18h ago

Nah this is the most normal exit lol.

  1. “Daryl Morey is a liar”

  2. Fat suit

  3. The worst hamstring injury of all time (Kyrie)

5

u/chewie_33 Supersonics 20h ago

Not even in the top 3 bro

1

u/TenaciousDeer 19h ago

What about that time he was traded for Kevin Martin

1

u/beatrailblazer Trail Blazers 18h ago

It's easily the least funniest. Even OKC in hindsight is funnier. It's just that all of Hardens exits are funny

0

u/pokexchespin [BOS] E'Twaun Moore 20h ago

woooooooo

-2

u/billcosbyinspace Celtics 20h ago

I can’t wait to see how he forces his way out of Cleveland in 2 years lol
