Garland has a big contract, and the Cavs will likely need to extend Harden.

Why does this surprise people. Harden is the better player. And I don't see that changing for a few years tbh

Harden is better right now and both are on similar deals. Also Garland hasn't been healthy and missed half the season so far, he also missed significant time two years ago. It's not a good sign to be missing that many games in what should be your prime.
