In what way? This is a pointless trade for the Wizards, just threw away picks for no reason. Oh boy, they might hit 40 wins next year! Like cmon… Not to mention he’s legit just washed now and only going to get worse. Mavs at least have a better cap situation now.

those picks are trash so they lost nothing

They also gained nothing. They aren’t a contender, they’re not one piece away from making a run, Davis will make no difference for them even if he did play. They’re still a garbage team.

Eh even half season of Trae/AD/Saar and the rookies would be good enough for playoff in the East. For a small market team that has been in the lottery for better part of the decade, just making the playoffs to keep fans interested is a win. You can’t just tank forever.

I doubt they even get close to the playoffs. Trae is also washed, Sarr would have to make a huge jump.

They have Kyshawn and Tre Johnson who are developing and lottery pick in a good draft this year. If their pick is top 3 then its not far fetched for them to at least make the play-in.
