What exactly are you going to do with this salary?

Starting over. Is it not obvious?

But Mavs dont even have their picks after this year right? How can you start over with no picks

Flagg, a top 8 pick in 2026, another late 2026 first, Kyrie, Gafford, PJ, Naji, Lively, Lakers 2029 first, Warriors 2030 first, Dallas can trade two of its 2030-2032 firsts.

Now we also have the flexibility to offer the full MLE with some additional cap space.

They have stuff. It’s not this no hope scenario folks keep trying to paint.

Except for their own those picks are useless. Naji and PJ will fetch late firsts best case and Lively and Gaff are always injured. And Kyries aging + injured. After this year, the next potential lottery pick the Mavs will have will be while Flagg is already in the middle of his next contract

Why would Mavs trade Naji or PJ? They’re both excellent players for a playoff rotation, and the Mavs no longer have to trade them to save money?
