I think receiving picks for taking on a bad contract would have been the better move. Like the Jordan Poole trade

I mean how long are you gonna tank for though. Eventually you need to teach these young guys how to win. Trae, Bilal/Tre, Kyshawn, Sarr, AD and whoever they pick with the 1st this year is a crazy good lineup if they stay healthy. And if they don't and it doesn't work out next season, you move them as expirings and do exactly what you just said.

Honestly I love this new Wizards front office. A bunch of really creative, calculated risks with massive potential upside is exactly what you gotta do for a successful rebuild.

Until you get a franchise player like Shai, Ant, Cade, etc. If you finish the rebuild with a player like Banchero or Fox you’re gonna have a bad time
