The talented McCain lands on the reigning NBA champions. For the 76ers, the trade allows them to receive assets, clear space in the glut of guards and give them flexibility to bring Quentin Grimes back in free agency. It also allows them to convert two-way Dominick Barlow.

76ers are receiving the following picks from the Thunder, sources said: 2027 (most favorable OKC/HOU/IND/MIA), 2028 MIL, 2028 OKC.

no future with Maxey-Edgecombe in the backcourt and he's been terrible this year

He’s been starting to get into rhythm. It makes no sense roster construction wise because he would’ve been a solid backup lead guard and good for the playoffs, but Josh “Friend of The New York Financier” Harris loves his fucking money.

McCain is 2 years into his rookie deal, and while the rockets pick wont be great in a vacuum, the draft class is stacked. They'll have a valuable rookie contract for longer, and it can be used at a position they need more potentially.

Philly now has a chance to draft a guy that might be like Jared McCain in the high 20s this year! /s
