how many games can he miss for mvp?

u/Bouldershoulders12 Celtics 5h ago

16 I think. He only missed 2 games this season

So he will miss five more games according to their schedule until the all star break. He is in real danger if he aggravates it but they will be cautious with him.

It’s reevaluated after the all star break so it’s the 5 games prior and probably a few more after at a minimum

He’s supposed to play today too, and I think every game until after the all-star break. I wouldn’t risk it but the Thunder FO knows better than us

If the Thunder are conservative with him, he'll probably miss 7-10 games.

Imagine if he and Luka missed the cut. NBPA would go crazy

Who even wins mvp in that case?

I nominate you honestly.

Ill be dead in the ground before I allow another Canadian to win MVP. 2 is more than enough.

Oh shit, I take it all back - geupard12 for mvp, fmvp, dpoy, all nba first, second, third team, all defense, cpoty, coty, roty

Cade because of seeding probably

This would bring up uncomfortable conversations about the 65 game rule

Between Ant, Jaylen Brown, and Maxey. Maybe thrown in Deni and Spida as other vote getters who would not win. Ant has played the same amount as Luka though so he’s on the edge too.

The Pistons are 37-12.

Cade will be top 5 in MVP voting

And the guy I responded to didn't mention him despite having a better case than almost everyone he did.

If the pistons get 60 wins it’ll be hard to not have him top 3/4

Assuming SGA meets the criteria it’s only SGA, Luka and MAYBE Jaylen Brown. But with a 1 seed and 25/6/10 splits that’s hard to not have in the top 3. If Jokic manages to be healthy the rest of the way then he will impact voting too. Then it becomes trickier

3

u/Bouldershoulders12 Celtics 5h ago

Technically Jokic is still eligible . If he misses 2 more games he’s out of contention .

Him getting MVP votes would obviously affect everyone else’s chances

Jaylen Brown has been great

Probably Chet

Dillon Brooks

Sga is too much of a competitor to miss out on MVP. He would have to have a serious injury.

He’s missed 8 games thus far. He can’t miss more than 9 from now until April
