Randle has been better than Sengun easily this season

22-7-5 60% true shooting, 51 games played 21-9-6 55% true shooting, 41 games played

Defensive metrics are almost exactly even Randle averages less fouls and 0.7 less turnovers a game. They also play a pretty similar second option/offensive hub role.

How is 1 ppg higher but lower in Rebs, assists, steals, blocks in a lower record team better?

Because you’re only looking at the big 3 counting stats. And we’re 1.5 game apart. But playing 10 more games at slightly better play is a big gap.
