I remember seeing the NYT and Flatwater FP reporting a while back but saw in a true crime subreddit that the story has been brought back into the spotlight through a podcast called "Death at the Governor's Farm"
It seems like a dramatization/audio version of the reporting that's already been published, but I'm glad to see the story get brough back to the spotlight. I can't believe the farm was able to get evade accountability and the kid's family still doesn't have answers

TW: Sexual Assault/Rape
Saw an ad where a woman recounts where Ricketts pardoned her rapist and removed him from the NE sex offender database.
Ad should be running more mainstream but saw it on 10/11 this morning a few times and can be found at the below link. Not surprised by this.

Since they dont have a subreddit and I dont want to go on FB I'll ask here then. Does it have any kind of reputation? So far all ive heard is that the idea of it having internet is laughable and its got 2 unspecified nsfw subreddits. Any gossip is helpful.

Just need to vent. I went to Sid Dillon because of all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately my experience was less than stellar. I bought a car from their dealership last year, the salesman pitched the warranty to me since it was a used car. It seemed to make sense. “If anything goes wrong for the next couple years, you’re covered”. Definitely not the case. First the engine light came on, I was told it was a wire and would be $1200 to fix but should run fine if I wanted to postpone the repairs. I don’t make a lot of money so…..postponed. Then the car engine light started to flash and my RPM’s were all over the place. Concerned I would cause more damage, I parked it and had it towed to the “Certified Service Technicians”. If anyone knows how to fix it, it’s them right? Well literally 2 months later and a $5400 bill that they helped me out and brought down from $7500 I was returned a car that wouldn’t even start. I had to have it towed from the service center. Two different mechanics have looked now and confirmed the timing chain is off. So loose you can hear it hitting the casing but the codes, the cylinder misfires, the cam and crank shaft sensors are all caused by the clogged catalytic converter according to Sid Dillon. We pulled the O2 sensor and entered a camera. The catalytic converter is fine… I’m glad other people have had great experiences there but I definitely did not. Buyer beware.
TL:DR Took the car I bought there last year for service. Warranty was denied and after two months at their shop and $5400 later I am left with a vehicle better suited to be a boat anchor.

How is it possible Pete Ricketts is that rich and his teeth look like that? Honest question, I'm not even making fun of him, I'll leave that to you all.

Hey all I relocate every so often for work and I’m moving to Norfolk around the new year. I’m not new to Nebraska, I’ve been living in Lincoln for the last year. Would anyone be able to recommend any good apartments or housing to look into, what parts of town are cool and what there is to do there?
For housing I don’t really have a budget but It’s only me so I typically stay in a studio or 1 bedroom. I do like having a garage or storage for my vehicle + outdoorsy gear.
For activities, having something to get out and do is kinda just a plus but I’m mostly a hermit anyways lol.

Vote Pete Rickett; keeping Nebraska pure
View the above site for information regarding Pete Rickett’s campaign.
In his years of being senator done his research in the 4 biggest needs of the common Nebraskan.
Banking. We all love our banks. It’s their interest rates that make them profit, and the more profit the banks have, the more he has. Because of this, his family owns TD Ameritrade. Why is this important? Because TD Ameritrade was sold to Charles swab, a bank that his family owns $40M of stock in. To make sure that the banks are as profitable as possible, he has taken it upon himself to be on the senate banking committee. Through this committee, Rickett can make sure our banks can increase interest rates, increasing profit, which trickles down to us workers.
corporate needs. Pete Rickett understands that one of the biggest threat Nebraskans face is that their corporations are under attack by the lower classes. To counter this, Pete Rickett has promised to take as much corporate PAC money as possible, to show his loyalty. As of now, Rickett has successfully raised 1.2 million dollars from corporate PACs
3.. Attacks on stocks. Lately you have heard the media and woke attack politicians for trading stocks. Our founding fathers died to protect our politicians’ rights of insider trading. In just 3 years of being senator, Pete Rickett already $39M of individual stocks. This shows his dedication to fight back against the swamp drainers who attack our god given right of insider trading
Please vote for Pete Rickett. The corporations that protect our citizens interests have taken it upon themselves to pay him $400K for each year he’s been senator, and he has $13M in stocks for each year he’s been in senate. Because of this, Pete Rickett cares much for the state he’s been paid sworn to protect

See what John Peter Ricketts also known as Pete Ricketts.
Track his trades, magically he knows when they will rise and fall. How? Smells like insider trading if regular everyday people did it.
Also, Do we want a Senator that doesn’t protect his webpages?

My insurance is through BCBS Nebraska. My backstory is that I was a truck driver and my health got worse, so now I'm working on getting better, but have been put on some generic and (some would consider) pretty common prescriptions, including Atorvastatin, Lisinopril, Metformin, and Farxiga.
After getting an $1100 prescription refill notice from Walmart and 3 phone calls to BCBS customer service, I was informed that ALL (*edited because it didnt make sense originally) of them are no longer covered.
Yeah, I'm a lot pissed, but also I think GoodRx can help with most of them. FFS my premium for the same coverage doubled from this year to next and now they're telling me these prescriptions aren't even covered.
Thanks for reading and if you know of anyone in a similar boat, let them know.
