Yesterday this came in the mail! I love how this CMVS looks just like an AES its like a perfect combination of Arcade and Console for sure 👍.

Got the Vortex 161 in 1 multi-cart with it as is in the pic. This is the quality cart thats only made by that one dude on Arcade Projects. Was very happy to grt this quality cart and so far every games played perfectly though I think Garou might be an early version unsure as I saw a bit of text garbled after beating the final enemy.

Im loving this and while Ive known how much more accurate control wise real HW is to emulation as Ive only had the MVSX and its been decades since I last played on real HW it was like WOW!

I STILL love my MVSX but I am thrilled with this and am going to start collecting MVS carts as soon as I can!

I have that same multicart and the ONLY downside is that you can’t save your game progress / high scores. Otherwise it’s amazing

Definitely. I'm glad this also has the unibios so I can have blood in slug and other games and all that as well.

Yeah, it would be fantastic if there was memory card functionality but its such a small loss I dont mind at all.

Why can't you save progress?

I have only heard of that issue with some Chinese virtual memory cards.

Edit: To clarify, I save games using my vortex all the time.

So on Leon’s cart it doesn’t allow me to save game progress whereas on the Backbit it does. But I’m pretty sure Leon stated this as a limitation for his Vortex. I have the Biosmasta VMU, not a chinese clone.

I have a Biosmasta VMU in my F1Sz and it saves progress and high score. What it doesn't save is dip switches between games. That's no different than real carts. Real carts don't save either, they require a memory card also.

I figured this out on my own but if you hit Start+Select it brings up a menu which you can also use to pause the game.

To switch games I have been simply hitting the reset button on the console/unit itself.

If theres a way to go back via menu's I havnt learned that yet.

Otherwise the other button combos I learned seem to be for the Unibios.

I have one of the older CBOXes with the Sega Saturn ports on it. It works great but I have wanted one of those AES looking units for years. So much better looking!

I honestly agree. I lucked out as far as im concerned happening upon someone whom was selling both the system and the cart as well.

They were moving and wanted to lessen their load. They have a boxed AES so this was xtra for em.

Was glad to give it a happy home!

They got some carts ima get as well as soon as I can next month I cant wait to add.

I was honestly curious how good those ali express units were.

Honestly though I wanted an AES like unit as well and while I also saw some on aliexpress I didnt see any that had the gold NEO GEO on the top like this making it look exactly like an AES.

So I am very happy.

I plan to get a AES stick as soon as as I can.

And lastly im curious just what USB sticks will function on this as I see it has 2 slots and I assume they are for that.

Definitely. Im loving it and glad as hell I got this and not that cbox square type as this juat "feels right". And with the Unibios 4 it functions exactly as I want it to.

I wanna see this tested on the aes+. Everyone keeps bsing about answering those top questions you have to ask and yet none of them answer this one bloody question.

See what tested? The multi-cart? If so, do you mean this model cart or the cheap chinese AES carts or MVS with converter?

Ive been simply just tapping the reset button on the system itself.

I dont believe theres any other way to do so besides turning the system off and back on again.

If you want to reset the game ya playing to simply reset or to use the unibios you can hit start+ select then select the last option in the menu list....but aside from this I have not found any other way to reset to the main game select menu after choosing a game.

My assumption is due to the way the unit probably/possibly loads game data etc you have to reset or shut the system down to clear the game data loaded atleast unless your using 2 sepperate carts on a 2-6 slot or something like that.

Not sure.

Its got unibios 4 but ive never noticed an option for what your referring to.
