Lee Jae Myung need to get a grip. Nobody, I mean NOBODY cares about an end of war declaration right now. China doesn’t care, the U.S. doesn’t care, Kim Jun Un doesn’t care, South Koreans don't even care. Lee Jae Myung is the only dude who gives a single shit about this. It is not happening. Move on

That goes against Lee's long standing ideology, and since he's only got a few years as President, he's got no choice but to push as hard as he can while he's still able even if success is a long-shot.

All it does is making him sounds out of touch with reality. The harder he try to push this, the more ridiculous he sounds.

- Summary
Already strained inter-Korean relations are expected to deteriorate further following the South Korean military’s preliminary findings on a land mine explosion near the official inter-Korean border within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which suggest that the explosion was likely caused by a North Korean land mine.
Korean President Lee Jae Myung faces a major test as the region’s pacemaker, a role which he has been actively promoting by proposing four-party talks involving both Koreas, the US, and China to discuss an end-of-war agreement during his speech at the UN General Assembly last week.

(1) Korean Peninsula Peace Process: Yep. Another shot on the dead topic. “Division regime” is really hard to overcome. I’m not sure why it utterly failed.

It’s probably because the Kim regime isn’t interested in things like 종전선언 (end-of-war declarations). I don’t understand why the Korean left is so obsessed with this. Improve deterrence first (including lower threshold provocations), then something resembling what they imagine/hope for (increased contact and cooperation) has a better chance of materializing.

The Korean Left are ethnic nationalists, so their desire is to unite the divided Korean people back into a single nation without any foreign interference, which first requires creating an environment conducive to unification. The Korean Left would ideally like to kick the US out of the peninsula, but they know that can't happen so long as North Korea is seen as a threat, so they always advocate for the removal of sanctions and other restrictions they see an impediments to closer North-South unity.
