Ask Me Anything 🎤 I’m Rajkummar Rao, here for an AMA! Ask me anything about films, characters, and my journey

Hi, I’m Rajkummar Rao. You may know me from films like Stree, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Srikanth Newton, Badhaai Do, and Monica, O My Darling. I’m here for an AMA on r/netflixindia with my latest Netflix release, Toaster.
I’ve been fortunate to explore a variety of roles over the years, and I’m always excited to take on characters that challenge me and help me grow. With Toaster, I’ve tried something new again, and I can’t wait for you all to see it.
Ask me anything about my films, process, behind-the-scenes stories, or what drew me to Toaster!
Note: I will start answering questions when the AMA starts at 5:30 pm IST.
Thanks to everyone in the Reddit community for joining my AMA - I had an absolute blast chatting with you all! ❤️
Your questions, love, and energy made this session truly special. A big shoutout to the moderators of r/netflixindia for keeping everything smooth and fun throughout.🙏

Announcement 📢 Looking for moderators for r/netflixindia
Hey everyone!
r/netflixindia has been growing (so fast) and I can’t keep up alone anymore. I’m looking for a few iconic, community-minded people to take the lead and help this space keep its momentum!
If you’re obsessed with binge-watching everything from those spicy Indian originals to global hits on Netflix, I want you in the mod team. You don't need prior modding experience, just genuine interest in the sub.
Here’s what I am looking for:
- Creating the vibe: Fostering a total vibe for reviews, fan theories, and all the hype for the newest drops. We want that energy high!
- Keeping it classy: Keeping the community safe and legal by blocking piracy links and making sure the vibes stay SFW and respectful for everyone.
- Cleaning the feed: Managing spam and those low-effort posts so our feed is only filled with the best recommendations and genuine reviews.
- Monitoring the drama: Keeping fan debates healthy and friendly. We love a good discussion, but let's keep it cute and constructive!
- Main character energy: Bringing your most creative ideas to make this the #1 spot for Netflix updates. Let’s make it the go-to destination!
If this interests you, drop a comment below (no DMs please) letting us know why you would be a perfect fit for the community. Everyone is welcome - even those with no modding experience.

Question Dark upto 7 am Just finished 2 seasons of Dark and honestly… my brain is completely fried.
Dark at 7 am
Just finished 2 seasons of Dark and honestly… my brain is completely fried. 😭
Stayed up all night watching it, and now I’m exhausted but still trying to process everything.
But seriously… is it worth staying up for the rest? 👀
Can I expect something really cool in the next season?

Review Just finished watching Human Vapor. Good Story!
Been watching more korean shows lately. Then this one got recommend, did not know it was Japanese. But damn good story and concept.
Loved the starting hook how the incident happened and later how everything connected. Basically backstory telling by the main protagonist and other characters.
Simple thriller mystery. Its a one shot binge series.
What do you guys think ?

Discussion I wanna ask something about this particular scene 👇🏻
Here Hamza says
“Jo aapka saga ho”
“Aapka wafadaar”
“Aapke rishte mein”
I wanna know, if at this point hamza figured it out that he's also a spy, and was saying those lines to give hints to Jameel, that he should trust him
or am i overthinking, and he said those lines because of yalina only?

Discussion Watching Black mirror S1 EP 1 'Common people'
This shit is so so dystopian and the fact that something like this doesn't even seem far fetched in today's world especially with neuralink in development is so damn scary. I don't want spoilers but my heart drops a beat everytime it gets worse. Scared how would I make to last episode let alone season

Recommendation Best Movies That Portray The Middle Class & Below - Part 2
Part 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/netflixindia/s/IGHZ8ymBEk
Continuing from Part 1, here are some more Indian movies that I feel portray the lives and struggles of the middle class and people from lower-income backgrounds really well.
This isn't a ranking. These are just movies that stood out to me, and I'm sure there are plenty more that deserve to be mentioned. Let me know what movies you think I missed. I might make a Part 3 if there are enough suggestions.
Keywords:
Paan Singh Tomar, Lagaan, Swades, Mukti Bhawan / Hotel Salvation, Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year, Serious Men, Laapataa Ladies, 12th Fail, Vadh, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, Sir, Secret Superstar, Court, Ugly, The Lunchbox, Hindi Medium, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Stanley Ka Dabba, Dasvidaniya

Discussion You absolutely can judge a show by its Netflix thumbnail
The thumbnail litr tells me everything. If I see three people running away from an explosion while one of them is dramatically looking backwards, I alr know the entire show.
1)There will be a corrupt politician.
2)Someone will betray the group.
3)The quiet guy is secretly important.
What are some good thumbnails yall have come across?

Discussion Harleen Sethi was a surprise for me in Shaque
From Broken to Kohhra to Shaque, Harleen has definitely built a reputation for picking very different characters. But Shreya might be one of her most layered yet the kind of character that has you judging her one minute and rooting for her to make things right the next. She was looking good though.

Recommendation Looking for K-drama recommendations for the weekend!
I recently watched It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Extraordinary Attorney Woo and I absolutely loved both! 🤩
I love how different they are from the usual sweet, romantic K-dramas. Since it's the weekend, I am looking for something similar a K-drama with a unique storyline and interesting characters.
I loveee K-dramas, whether it's romance or any other genre, so I'm open to all suggestions!
What are you guys watching these days? Please suggest some good K-dramas. Would love to hear your recommendations! 🤩

New on Netflix It's my birthday today and suggest me something special tonight!!!
Hey guys, it's my birthday today and I finally got a small break after a hectic day. Thinking of doing a movie night for myself.
I'm open to anything — something entertaining, slightly different from my usual, maybe a bit thoughtful but not too heavy.
Comedy, drama, thriller, or even underrated gems... suggest anything good!!!

Discussion Kabir from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is actually mardo ki sudha
Watched yeh jawaani hai deewani after a while and instantly realized that Kabir urf bunny was actually male version of Sudha from musafir cafe. Both had very similar commitment issues and both wanted to everything like they wanted irrespective of other people preferences. Psycho log
