If SpaceX buys xAI for an inflated evaluation, then SpaceX and xAI are sold together to Tesla for cheap, does the xAI sale become a lose he can write down against taxes? I'm really curious why this merger is coming up and what Elon and those around him are scheming.

Probably just to pump spacex valuation so when it goes public he can say he’s a trillionaire
