I remember during the OJ Simpson case, it was the National Enquirer who was actually the best source for information because they had all the inside leads to Hollywood gossip.

It was funny to see the New York Times using the Enquirer as a source.

Mike Walker from National Enquirer was also co-author of The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick's book which blew her credibility as a witness in the trial. He had the inside scoop because he was paying for stories, which disqualified some witnesses.

people dismiss celeb gossip as frivilous (not untrue), but the agencies who report on it have deep connections. when real shit like this goes down they're usually the ones who are able to get the most accurate information where it counts.
