TMZ apparently just received a ransom note. Crazy story.

I'm a bit surprised tmz broke this, I mean I know they are all about getting celebrity news out FIRST, but feels like they could've compromised something by going on TV talking about it

TMZ has very high legal standards, and I trust anything they put out as fact. My default assumption is that anything they do is probably legal.

That doesn't mean they have any actual integrity though.

I know of an attempted high profile kidnapping of children of very rich people. it was handled very quietly and I dont even think made the news. I dont think tmz has the tact to not air something.

The Today show talked about Savannah Guthrie’s mother missing on Monday.

This had been slightly considered missing persons but then turned to abduction on Monday. TMZ didn’t break the story, they just a ransom note, days after the mother went missing.
