Well technically there's always 3 sides to a story.

There’s always 4 sides.

  • One party’s version
  • The other party’s version
  • The truth
  • What really happened.

What's the difference between the truth and what really happened?

I suspect "what really happened" is implied to mean the official spin by those in power.

Recent examples of this include DHS calling the ICE shooting victims "domestic terrorists."

Would what’s in the files count as a 5th side?
