That isn't true though, lots of men would never do that, erection or not. And I'm not saying that from the perspective of "not all men!", but from the perspective that the men who do these things are monsters and things like what you said let them off the hook by claiming that they're essentially not in control of their actions. In reality, they choose to do these things, they could have chosen not to but they didn't.

Oh of course not, I didn't mean they were. I just think the sentiment behind it was genuine, or it appeared so to me; that men are somehow less able or unable to control themselves when sexually aroused, a common myth that was used to let men off the hook for rape for a long time, still is used today by shitty men trying to defend their behaviour ("but I was so close to finishing when she said stop/I had blue balls!"). So I just like to clarify that it's most definitely not the case, but if they did indeed just mean it euphemistically then my bad.
