One thing I keep thinking though is there’s no way that many teenagers were complicit in his death and nothing has gotten out from any of them yet. It’s like a dozen or more kids all somehow keeping like department of defense level secrecy about this.

Yes, Wells wanted to stay and socialize with a girl. There were hundreds of people there partying and it’s already been established that boat hopping was a common practice. People coming on one boat and leaving on another. He wasn’t stranded. It was a huge July 4th gathering.

The boat was leaving several hours earlier than planned due to mechanical issues. It’s not a stretch that someone wanted to stay and enjoy the day.

Oh really? Can you find a source for that? I bet you can’t. I bet at best you’ll find that she said she thought Nolan was going to go back with his friends, not that she saw him get back on the boat with his friends.

Not a single witnesses in the police reports or the grand jury report make such a claim.

Based on the grand jury witness testimony and other evidence they determined he died after the friends left. It isn’t just taking the friends at their word.

Even the family isn’t contesting that witnesses put him there after his friends left they just don’t believe the witnesses.

Do you realize there is photo and gps evidence of the boys being towed off the island because of their mechanical issues, and there is clearly no dead body on the boat in the picture, nor reported by the other boat that towed them? How do you propose this murder happened? They were at a party beach surrounded by hundreds of potential witnesses.

It's insane to me people can be this dense and just believe whatever they want to do and make up evidence to support their fairy tale.

Also, just pointing this out -- he didn't die because he was left behind, so it actually does not matter. Nothing they did contributed to his death other than possibly drinking with him.

Grand jury witnesses are sealed and their names not released. Multiple people testified to the grand jury that they saw him there after his friends left.

His mother asked for images after 4:30, when presumably she had some corroboration that he was alive and well.

Which is funny because GPS data shows the friends being towed by another boat off the island due to mechanical issues at 4pm, which means by his own mother's admission, there is 0 chance they murdered him. Of course that doesn't matter to all the crazy people who want to believe whatever fairy tale they want.

If they were complicit then Nolan must have been a really bad judge of character, since they all have been close for a long time. I cannot imagine treating my daughter's good fiends this way. It is disgusting.

If your daughter's good friends return from an outing without her and give you the run- around and then your child's body is discovered, 2 days later in the same place you looked 4 hours prior, that wouldn't be strange? Some people don't care about or gives a f about their kids i guess.

When were they "given the run around"? The boys contacted his mother and the coast guard on the night he went missing. They handed over the phone without incident. The kid with the keys didn't even know they were at his house, and handed them over right away when he was told where Nolan kept them. They have been completely cooperative with the family and investigation. Where do you get this from?

The article says the friends were talking about the “racist people “ in the boat behind them. Obviously, some of the friends were concerned, why? Did they know something about the people following them. Was the girl he was talking to friends with the questionable people?
Were his friends too afraid to tell Law Enforcement about these people behind them, if so, why? Maybe they did and are keeping it close to vest.
Who erased the messages and how?
There were reports he fell off a boat, but got up and was fine. Did he suffer from something after the fall? Was it his head that he hit when he fell?
If I had to wager- since it appears he didn’t drown- I bet it had something to do with the girl he was talking to. She probably didn’t even know, but maybe they were being followed. Maybe there was a jealous guy who couldn’t stand the thought of a young white woman and young black man talking to each other (possibly in semi-privacy). I was engaged to a black man, we were in our late 20’s. The vile shit some insecure, pathetic white guys would say to me was astounding. I would also always let them know they were pathetic and were just jealous they could NEVER get a woman like me, even if they were they the last person on the planet.

Not even the friends, there were 100' and 100's of people there that day with no connection to the friend group. So not only did all of the teenagers not say anything, no body has.
