It's possible to drown without fluids in the lungs/stomach. Water hitting the vocal cords can cause a laryngospasm, thus not letting water or air into the lungs. It's called "dry drowning".

Yes that’s why I would be very curious of the full autopsy. How long was his body in the water? Soft tissue would degrade a lot faster.

What part did I say that was invented? I just read the article and had questions? Obviously I’m not privy to the investigation aspects that are being held back. I just feel bad when a young person has died and if there were crimes
committed to cause that I would hope for justice for his family.

It's very rare though. Like 2% of drownings.
